Asia Scouts was established in Thailand in 2004 to provide importers of furniture and homewares from the Asia regions with professional quality control, sourcing and order management services. To further services our customer base in Australia our office was established an hour out of Melbourne in 2006.

With nearly a decade of experience in furniture manufacturing in China, India and Indonesia, Managing Director Mark Saunders, saw a need for independent, on the ground representation in the factories on behalf of importers who either did not have the time or resources to frequently follow up production in their factories or who were unable to justify the expense of placing people permanently in Asia.

Initial specialisation in furniture and homewares soon developed into a widening of our product scope and was driven largely by client demand.

We have recently expanded our business further to include the establishment of Grasswood Bamboo Flooring to wholesale and distribute a favourite product of ours, bamboo flooring, in Australia and are working on the establishment of further outlets throughout Asia and Europe.

With fruitful partnerships with one of the UK’s most well known department stores and long term relationships with clients of all sizes from around the world, Asia Scouts continues to expand and assist buyers in getting the product they need in the right quality, at the right price and on time.
